Laura Shipler Chico grew up in conflict zones. She uses theatre and film to inspire emotional imagination.

Laura is a dual British and U.S. citizen who has lived and worked on four continents. In addition to acting, Laura is a writer, storyteller, activist and peace builder. She has lived in Rwanda and helped bring together survivors and perpetrators of the 1994 genocide. She has lived in Thailand and worked alongside political exiles in the Myanmar democracy movement. She has worked with survivors of war, domestic violence, torture and human trafficking.

She brings all this experience to the craft of acting.
